We’re introducing powerful new experimentation capabilities for decisioning, improving how teams work with data, and expanding compliance coverage through a new Marketplace integration.
Champion-Challenger: Test, Learn, and Optimize with Confidence
Decision strategies evolve over time – whether it’s credit policies, risk models, pricing logic, or fraud rules. Teams constantly form hypotheses about how decisions could be improved:
- Would this new loan offer increase approvals without increasing risk?
- Is this new risk model more accurate than the current one?
- What happens if we change our eligibility thresholds?
The challenge for lenders is improving decisions without disrupting live operations or increasing risk.
Our Champion-Challenger framework addresses this by allowing teams to test new ideas using real data, measure outcomes, and improve over time – all while staying in control of which strategy actually impacts applications.
How It Works
Champion-Challenger is introduced as a new action in the Automation Builder, making experimentation part of the workflow rather than a separate process.
It supports two testing approaches, depending on the level of confidence and risk required.
A/B Testing
Distribute applications across multiple strategies using configurable percentages. Different versions of decision logic can be tested side by side on live traffic.
Example:
- 75% of applications follow the current strategy
- 25% follow the new one
- Results can be compared to evaluate approval rates, risk levers, or conversion results
Best used for:
- Measuring performance improvements
- Gradually rolling out changes
- Optimizing offers, policies or customer experience
Shadow Testing
Run new strategies in parallel without affecting live outcomes. This allows teams to see what would have happened if a new strategy had been used – without actually applying it.
Example:
- The Champion strategy continues to drive live approvals
- New Challenger strategies run in the background
- Results are recorded for comparison, but only the Champion affects the application
Best used when:
- Validating new models before launch
- Testing high-risk or compliance-sensitive logic
- Comparing outcomes safely before making changes
- Understanding “what would have happened”

Table Usability Improvements
In this release, Table Variables have been enhanced to make working with structured data easier and more intuitive across workflows.
What’s new:
- Filtering – quickly narrow down large datasets to focus on relevant records
- Sorting – sort rows based on ascending or descending order
- Column resizing – adjust table layouts for better readability and usability
These improvements make it easier to inspect and analyze applications, especially when working with complex or high-volume data.
New Marketplace Integration: LexisNexis Bridger Insights
We’re also expanding our Marketplace with a new integration for LexisNexis Bridger Insights.
This integration enables teams to incorporate trusted sanctions screening and financial crime risk intelligence directly into their decision workflows.
